Minato Unesco Association

Youth Activities Committee

Every year, our committee organizes a boat tour around the canals, rivers, and waterfront areas of Tokyo Bay. During the tour, participants learn about local ecosystems and the natural environment while considering how we can help protect them.

For participants, the event provides an opportunity to learn firsthand about the changes that have taken place in Minato City’s environment and its current condition from a familiar, local perspective. We hope these experiences will inspire greater interest in environmental issues.

Our association has also begun working together with students from the Tokyo University of Marine Science and Technology Igoan UNESCO Club, as well as students from the Minato UNESCO Student Committee, a group made up of volunteers and alumni of Mita High School.

Through learning about environmental issues and interacting with people from different countries and cultural backgrounds, committee members explore a wide range of interests and discover new perspectives on the world around them, including an interest in other countries and cultures.

We welcome young people who are curious about the world and eager to explore and address a wide range of issues; those who would like to meet and interact with people from different countries; and those who would simply like to connect and share experiences with other young people.

Come join us, explore new interests, and discover new connections!
