Minato Citizens Festival Committee

The Minato Citizens’ Festival is a community festival and it will celebrate its 45th anniversary in October 2026. The festival takes place throughout the Shiba Park area. Every year, the Minato UNESCO Association sets up a tent at Minna no Hiroba  in Shiba Park, near Subway Onarimon Station, and takes part in the festivities.

Through displays, informational panels, and handouts, we introduce the wide range of activities carried out by the Minato UNESCO Association. We also invite visitors to participate in our events, welcome new members, and hold a mini bazaar. Through these activities, we hope to connect and interact with the many people who come to enjoy the festival.

Around the world, the media continues to report on the difficult circumstances faced by refugees and displaced people affected by wars, conflicts, and natural disasters.

We donate proceeds from our mini bazaar, along with contributions from visitors and supporters, to help people facing such hardship. Through these efforts, we strive to ensure that the kindness and spirit of mutual support shown by our community can reach those who need it most.
